Random Thoughts

sunset, twilight, 10-10-10, mountains
Thurmont Colorfest has ended for another year, the days are growing shorter, fall color is slowly beginning to creep through the trees and down the mountains I see from my window and soon it will be time to button down and prepare for another winter.

While taking a walk through Thurmont on Sunday I noticed an obvious decline in the number of people in the streets and the overall attendance at Colorfest seemed to be down significantly. I did stop to talk with many of the outstanding Artists exhibiting their works for sale and their comments reflected my own observations. I sincerely hope the Artists had enough success with their sales at this, a crucial major event for them, to hold their businesses together through the remainder of the year and that they will see some upward prosperity in the coming months.

May we all see the same...
