First Saturday Frederick : The theme of September’s events will be Around the World in 15 Blocks where “tourists” can pick up a passport and by having it filled out they become eligible to win a Downtown Frederick Gift Card. The Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education Center - Numerous exhibits in their many galleries and the Gardiner Pavillion. Fellow Artist and FCAA member Peter Plant will be among those exhibiting for the month of September. Unfortunately we are unable to list the other exhibits at the site since the DVAEC website appears to be down as we write this. You should try their site later in hope of finding out more.

The Artists Gallery Has two new exhibits opening on First Saturday. Dream or Alive features the paintings of Artist John Lowe and Double Vision features the paintings of James W. Germaux in collaboration with the photographs of his nephew Jon Page. The opening reception is September 4, 2010 from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. at the gallery.

The Blanche Ames Gallery located at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Frederick will feature the works of Artist Frank DuVal in a new exhibit titled “Critters II : New Wilderness Drawings by Frank DuVal”. The gallery is located at 4880 Elmer Derr Road, Frederick, MD 21703 and is minutes from downtown Frederick, MD. The opening reception for Frank’s exhibit will be held on Sunday September 12, 2010 from 12:30 P.M. to 3 P.M. A sample of Frank’s previous works can be found here.
